Original Italian by Margherita Rimi (1957-), ‘Che c’era vero’

– They say nothing is real –

I make up a language
because I’m embarrassed

No one understands
This language

I let it out of my mouth
That doesn’t even know
What it wants to say

–  And there was a man that he was real –

The papers ran to hide
the witches are still there
the other language is there in the drawing

there are no flowers
